About Tandin
Mr. Tandin Dorji, is the Managing Director of Kingston International College. He is a dynamic figure in the international education space. With an impressive educational background, including a Post Grad in LINUX for Network Applications and degrees in Business, Accounting, and Computer Science, he is also an Associate CPA and Certified Education Counsellor.
Mr. Dorji has led delegation teams and hosted dignitaries to engage in dialogues between institutions and governments since 2017, further strengthening international educational ties between Australia and countries such as Bhutan, South Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia and some of the Gulf-countries.
Mr. Dorji has revamped the Kingston college’s infrastructure, reworked on course options, partnered with prominent organisations, and facilitated collaborations with universities for joint programs.
With a wide range of technical skills and expertise in marketing, communications, and team leadership, Mr. Dorji is a multifaceted professional who has left an indelible mark on the education and community sectors. Before assuming a role at Kingston, Tandin worked as a Director and founded a company called EducationPro Group Pty Ltd. Under Mr. Dorji’s leadership, EducationPro Group has flourished, establishing various subsidiaries that provide comprehensive services related to education, training, consultancy, and more. The company has become a household name for students in Bhutan seeking study options in countries like Australia, the UK, and Canada, boasting an impressive visa success rate.
Mr. Dorji’s initiatives extend beyond business success. He has made significant contributions to the Bhutanese community. EducationPro believes in giving back to the community. EducationPro have initiated various corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, including providing accommodation services to students in crisis, supporting needy school children across Bhutan with essentials, and contributing to community events in and abroad. Additionally, they have offered scholarships, organised donation drives, taken initiatives to organise multiple chartered flights from Bhutan to Australia and provided quarantine facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dinesh Kumar is an industry qualified Lecturer, Trainer, and Assessor in the Faculty of Community Services at Kingston International College.
Dinesh holds Doctor of Philosophy in the faculty of Life Sciences in 2017 from India. He has studied and taught in India and Australia. After completing his Doctor of Philosophy, he has worked in the VET sector on various positions, including Lecturer, Training officer, and Assistant professor, in various aged cares, nursing homes, institutes, and Universities. He also worked as a compliance manager and well-versed in RTO and institute registration, audit and approval processes. He has published numerous articles in the journals of international repute.

Sonam Choden holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a major in Marketing and a master’s degree in Project Management. With a passion for tackling diverse projects and consistently striving to meet targets, Sonam has accumulated a decade of work experience. Her professional journey includes roles in events management, business promotion, and international relations. Throughout her career, she has gained invaluable expertise in various domains, including event planning, logistics management, financial planning and budgeting, stakeholder coordination, relationship building, effective time management, and honing public relations and networking skills.
In addition to her professional endeavours, Sonam serves as the international student ambassador for 2024 with StudyPerth. About Sonam
Sonam Tobgay is a Hospitality Trainer at Kingston International College in Australia. He began his journey in culinary arts after completing his higher secondary school in Bhutan. He pursued a diploma in Culinary Arts in Malaysia, where he trained for two years and worked as a junior Sous Chef in two top restaurants. His dedication and hard work paid off as he gained invaluable experience and honed his skills in multi-cuisine cooking.
In 2019, Sonam returned to Bhutan and worked at Zhiwaling Ascent, a luxury resort known for its gourmet dining experiences. His passion for cooking extended beyond the kitchen. In 2020, he joined De-suung training and served in voluntary roles like border duty and essential delivery services, demonstrating his dedication to community service.
In 2021, Sonam was selected as a trainer for the “Culinary Arts: Multi Cuisine” program at the De-Suung Skilling Program in Gaylpozhing. He trained four batches in Culinary Arts, sharing his knowledge and skills with aspiring chefs. Additionally, he contributes a Bhutanese menu to Tashi Delek, the Royal Bhutan Airlines inflight magazine, showcasing the flavors and diversity of Bhutanese cuisine.
Sonam’s passion and dedication in culinary arts won him a position as a trainer at Kingston International College through a competitive interview process. He continues to inspire and motivate aspiring chefs, sharing his experience and expertise in multi-cuisine cooking and menu planning and development. Sonam’s journey is a testament to the power of passion and dedication, showing that with hard work and perseverance, one can achieve their dreams and make a positive impact on their community.

Gopilal Acharya is an award-winning writer-journalist and a trained teacher. He worked as Chief Editor of Bhutan’s first English language private newspaper, Bhutan Times, and later founded a weekly newspaper, The Journalist. He has written for CNN, The Straits Times in Singapore, South Asian Monitor in Malaysia, The Telegraph, The Third Pole, and Scroll.in in India.His poetry and fiction have appeared in Asia Literary Review and Himal Southasian.
He is the author of Bhutanese Folktales (From the South and the East), Dancing to Death (Poems), and Byline (Selected Writings, 2001-2019). The manuscript of his debut novel With a Stone in My Heart was longlisted for the 2009 Man Asian Literary Prize.

Ayaz Qaiser is a Lecturer, Trainer, and Assessor in the Faculty of Business at Kingston International College.
